Playa del Muerto is a place that has traditionally been used by the fishing industry and is still used to date
This beach is about 325 m long and has crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling with sea turtles, rays and Wolf fish. Other main attractions are the mangroves, lava cones, and the presence of frigates, pelicans and the blue-footed boobies.

The landing site is easily accessible in both high and low tide due to its calm waters.


It is located in a conservation 2.3 zone designed for preservation, extractive and non-extractive use of the GMR as established by PNG zoning in correspondence to the conservation and restoration of the ecosystem.
